If you haven’t noticed yet… we love charcuterie boards and we have found that they are appropriate for any and every occasion. To no one's surprise, we have the perfect one prepared for Independence Day!
For this charcuterie board, we shopped at our local Aldi for the freshest ingredients. We are huge Aldi fans in general but we find they have the perfect charcuterie board goodies for a really great price. In true Morgan fashion, I didn’t get a receipt for this grocery order but I assure you this is fairly inexpensive!
For this board we chose:
Monterey jack cheese (cut into small stars)
Garlic & Herb Goat Cheese
Trio Deli Meat (Pepper Salami, Spicy Pepperoni, Capicola)
Sweet Dark Cherries
Skewers for the tomatoes and mozz balls
Crackers of any kind
And last but not least…
Full transparency. I made these for a bachelorette party this weekend but guess who forgot about them………………
The recipe is:
1 package Nutter Butters
1 package cream cheese
Blend in a blender (trust me this is super easy. Saved myself lots of time)
Then roll into balls and chill.
I got blue candy melts from Walmart and melted them to cover them! Luckily they make a super cute addition to this board and you could get super crafty with these and make them striped - or whatever you prefer for really any occasion!
We started by cutting the cheese into little stars and putting the mozz balls and tomatoes on skewers. All that's left is rolling the meat and placing everything on the board! This turned out super cute and this is a great snacky appetizer for any Independence Day get together!
All in all - there is never a poor occasion for a charcuterie board. Charcuterie boards are also super customizable so if you don’t prefer something we choose, there is tons of flexibility to create your perfect board!
We hope you try it out! Tag us in your Independence Day Boards!
